To be a leading organization that bring long-term, sustainable and measurable development to institutions and communities in Zimbabwe by addressing real life challenges and constraints affecting Zimbabweans and also meet the objectives of MSU as a premier land grant University for the 21st century with increased international influence and presence. The ZIM_MSU Partnership seeks to achieve this mission by:
• Creating a synergy that will assist Zimbabwean professionals, business owners, farmers, entrepreneurs, private institutions and universities to access information, increase productivity and competitiveness of their products and services.
• Providing information, training and targeted programs to capacity build Zimbabwean communities and smallholder commercial farmers increase their productivity and have enhanced quality of life.
• Increase MSU’s international outreach, global impact and transforming of lives through enrichment of academic experiences, publications and knowledge transfer. Motto: Rethink, Reconnect, Rebuild Zimbabwe Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Our Goals is to:
• Identify strategic partners from MSU and the Greater Lansing Community to attract funding for consultancy, services provision, human resources development, research and student and faculty exchange programs involving Zimbabwe.
• Build a consortium of research and educational institutions and communities in Zimbabwe.
• Increase MSU’s visibility through launching transformative projects and programs in Zimbabwe.
• Expand MSU commitment and capacity for Zimbabwean programs.
• Build cultural, economic and civic bridges between Zimbabwe and the USA. Education/culture/tourism/business
