On Friday, February 14th, the Global Sales Leadership Society at Michigan State University hosted the 2020 All MSU Sales Competition. 60 of our talented sales professionals competed head to head, assuming the role of sales reps and selling to buyers from many of our generous corporate sponsors!

GSLS President, Sydney Dehorn, took first place, followed closely by Kyle Levick, Jake Holscher, and Emina Kijamet finishing in that order. Congratulations to them and we wish them luck as they head to Kennesaw State University to compete in the 2020 National Collegiate Sales Competition!

Finally, a huge thank you to all of our amazing corporate sponsors, competitors, and volunteers. This truly awesome event could not have happened without all of your help!

St. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC) is a local, charitable, non-profit dedicated to human services in the mid-Michigan area. STVCC partners with children, families and adults living in crisis, and helps them to find hope and safety so they can transform their lives.

MSU's Global Sales Leadership Society has decided to raise awareness and support local non-profits St. Vincent Catholic Charities and Rights4Refugees by hosting a "Dodgeball for Refugee" event this spring.

REMINDER:

We have a meeting this Wednesday night (tonight) from 6:30-8:30pm in 115 International Center with United Shore. Please arrive on time and dressed in business casual attire.

There are several of you that have still not paid your dues for this semester. You can pay your dues by venmo or cash.

The deadline to pay dues has already passed, but we will extend the deadline for those of you who have not paid until TOMORROW (TUESDAY OCTOBER 2nd). If you do not pay your dues by tomorrow your attendance points will not be accounted for the future events you attend. You will also be removed from the GSLS email list.

REMINDER:

There is no GSLS meeting this week but--

This Friday is GSLS Field Day. This will be worth 5 GSLS hours!

We are hoping for a great turnout for this event. This is a great way for you to meet other members of GSLS and unwind after the career fair. We will be playing yard games and you are welcome to bring drinks if you are of age.

This will be taking place this Friday (September 28th) which is the day after the career fair. It will be at Patriarche Park in East Lansing from 3-6pm with Altria.

Please feel free to bring games of your own if you would like to. Ex. KanJam, Spikeball, football, etc.

Welcome back and hope you all are having a great first day. We are all looking forward to highlighting some of your incredible experiences you had this summer.

Our first GSLS meeting of the year is this Wednesday, August 29th (tonight) from 6:30-8:30pm in 115 International Center. This meeting is mandatory for all members for the full 2 hours. We will have a check-in at the front, so please be sure to list your name and MSU email. Attire is casual.

We will be discussing several upcoming events and meetings we have planned with our corporate sponsors.
