If you were at the Tournament this Saturday, you heard our announcement about this exciting opportunity from the Glassen Foundation! The Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports program has benefitted from the generous support of the Hal & Jean Glassen Foundation 4-H Shooting Sports Endowment since its creation in 2020. Now, we are excited and thankful for this opportunity to grow that endowment through a $50,000 matching challenge!

The Glassen Foundation Endowment ensures that each investment will support youth, volunteers, and educational opportunities in Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports long into the future.

Despite a few rain showers, the 2026 Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament was a success! Thank you to all the youth, parents, volunteers, and especially our 4-H Shooting Sports Advisory Board members for their help making this event a success!

We also want to thank Centerline of Calhoun for being excellent hosts. We couldn't have done it without their staff help during set up on Friday and throughout the event. Not to mention those delicious Root Beer Floats!

This Saturday, August 15th at the State Shooting Sports Tournament, don't forget to stop by the SILENT AUCTION and BAKE SALE! This will be set up near the clubhouse and all proceeds go towards our National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships Scholarship Fund.

Please consider bringing an item to contribute to the silent auction as well! Anything 4-H/youth appropriate is welcome. We've had everything from shooting sports gear to homemade jams, quilts, garden decor, and more!

We're excited for the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports State Tournament this Saturday, August 15th at Centerline of Calhoun!

Participants and volunteers: Please check your email! Updates and reminders were sent this afternoon. Please read through the information carefully. Here are some highlights:

🎯Relays/Squads & Volunteer assignments have been posted to the website. Please review them here: https://www.canr.msu.edu/4_h_state_shooting_sports_tournament/relays_and_squads

🎯Lunch will be available from Centerline, including refreshing Rootbeer Floats (full menu in email).

🎯We will have a silent auction and bake sale during the event. Please bring something to contribute to our silent auction if you are able! Proceeds go towards scholarships for our Michigan 4-H Nationals team. Payment will be cash or check only.

🎯We have some exciting new happenings at the tournament this year, including a "Conquer the Buffalo" distance archery challenge and pin trading. See your email for complete details!
