Have you ever dreamed of riding as part of a prestigious, high-energy mounted drill team—turning heads, flying flags & representing Long Island with pride? Now’s your chance!
The IHA Mounted Drill Team “The Spirit of Long Island”, is looking for new riders ready to commit, have fun & be part of something truly special. Our drill team has a long and proud history, performing for audiences for many decades including appearances at Saratoga Race Track, Belmont Race Track and even marching in the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (yes, that parade!).
What to Expect:
🐴 Riding Practices: Wednesdays, April through September
📍Location: Bohemia Equestrian Center (Bohemia, NY)
💫 Performances: Multiple events throughout the year
👥 Who Can Join: Riders must be current IHA members
Being part of the drill team means teamwork, dedication, camaraderie and unforgettable memories both in and out of the saddle. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or looking for an exciting new way to challenge yourself and represent IHA, we’d love to have you ride with us.
