Today, we honored the milestones of some of our most dedicated employees at the 2026 Years of Service Awards Brunch. These employees set the standard for care, culture, and commitment to the mission. They are the heart of our programs and lift those around them in the community. A special thank you to Mark C., Pillar Care resident, day program member and schools alum, for speaking on his experience growing up in Pillar Care programs alongside those sitting in the audience.

Congratulations to all the employees who reached career milestones. We're incredibly grateful to have you all represent the agency every day. A special shoutout to Carmen Martinez for reaching 35 years and Michelle Roth for reaching 30 years. Your commitments to helping individuals with disabilities have touched the lives of thousands during your times in service.

We also announced the winners of our newly created Exemplary Leadership Award and Positive Impact Award. These two individuals are outstanding examples of our Culture of Excellence in action. Congratulations to Shamika Baker, Wayne Day Program Coordinator, on winning the Exemplary Leadership Award and to Amy Fagan, Outreach Coordinator, on winning the Positive Impact Award.

We can't wait to do it again next year and continue to honor the individuals who make Pillar Care such a fantastic organization!

Morristown Group Home hosted a group of volunteers for an evening of paintin’ n’ sippin’! Together, they enjoyed some Golden Paradise mocktails as they painted relaxing tropical sunsets 🍹🌴

We are excited to announce that Laura O'Reilly-Stanzilis has joined Pillar Care Continuum as Director of Nursing!

Laura O'Reilly-Stanzilis is a Registered Nurse with more than two decades of leadership experience in health care, wellness, and human services. She has dedicated much of her career to improving health outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Morris County, across New Jersey, and on a national level.

In her role as Director of Nursing, Laura oversees nursing services across Pillar Care Continuum's residential programs, adult day programs, and schools. She provides clinical leadership, supports interdisciplinary collaboration, and helps ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered care throughout the organization.

We couldn't be more thrilled to have Laura joining us!

Seton Hall University Resident Assistants met Pillar Care Residents at this weekend's dance and pizza party! Thank you to the Seton Hall RAs for volunteering and bringing the fun to the dance floor.

The new book "The Stuffie Stand" was brought to life in Ms. Karen's classroom at Pillar Elementary! The book follows Moose and his journey to learn to accept help when needed, all while running his new stuffie stand.

The book's fun and energetic illustrations made it a great sensory story for students with disabilities. Students were able to connect with the story through touch, exploring materials like yarn, buttons, and stuffing along the way. When the students finished the story, they picked out their own stuffies to take home!

The Wayne Day Program Wheelin' n' Walkin' Challenge will be held on September 18 at 1:00pm!

Be a part of the challenge and sponsor a participant! Sponsoring for the Wheelin' n' Walkin' Challenge is a great way to support the Wayne Day Program Community. Funds raised support special programming, outings, and equipment that promote independence for people with disabilities.

If you are interested in sponsoring a participant, we'll set up a personal fundraising page for you. Family, friends, your workplace, and others in your community can support the walk by making donations on your personal page. On the day of the walk, volunteers and participants join at Wayne Day Program to wheel n' walk together.

As the Extended School Year comes to a close, so does Pillar Elementary’s Summer of Soccer!

Throughout the summer, students practiced their skills in gym class. Then, they put those skills to the test in their own World Cup! ⚽️🏆
