Can you out-clam your neighbors?

If the answer is “yes,” the East Hampton Sportsmen’s Alliance may need your help.

We’re looking for a resident clam whisperer, shellfish savant, or otherwise accomplished mud enthusiast to lead a clamming teach-in this June or July in East Hampton or Montauk. The goal is to pass along a little local knowledge, get members and families out on the water, and enjoy a social gathering while the East End is at its best.

Bragging rights are welcome. Expertise is preferred. Waders are optional.

If you want to get involved, send a FB message here, or email us at [email protected]

🌾 Neighbors Helping Nature at Cathy Lester Preserve 💛

Thank you to the Town’s Litter Action Committee and the East Hampton Sportsmen Alliance for coming together this weekend at the Cathy Lester Preserve on Three Mile Harbor.

Volunteers spent the morning walking the trails, picking up litter, and helping care for one of our most peaceful natural areas. Their teamwork reflects the best of East Hampton, neighbors taking pride in our shared open spaces and protecting the places we all enjoy.

A big thank you to everyone who showed up to help.

Our very lively Christmas party last month had a record turnout. Special thanks to the American Legion for their continued generosity as host. Thanks also to those who brought food - especially John Nicholas, who shucked and served over 200 of his Three Mile Harbor oysters. They got rave reviews and were very much appreciated.
