June is and starting today, it is ! 🗓️ This is the perfect time to take a step back and reflect on how we can better support mental health and su***de prevention among men.

Reach out to the men in your life and check in on them. Reassure them that it’s okay to have a hard time, that they're never alone, and that help is always available. Let’s look out for each other through both the good times and the hard times. 💙

Donna joined fellow advocates in Washington D.C. this May for our annual Advocacy Forum.

But, Donna is no stranger to advocacy. She has also advocated for lifesaving mental health and su***de prevention legislation in her home state of Wyoming at Advocacy Action Days.

"Through my AFSP Advocacy efforts, at the state and federal level, I know I’ve been able to be a voice for mental health and su***de prevention. Working with my fellow advocates, we continue to make a difference that is helping save lives."

Read the blog: https://afsp.org/story/wyoming-needs-to-do-this-looking-back-at-one-states-first-advocacy-action-day

As I watched my fellow Volunteer Advocates talking with policy makers, I couldn’t help but reflect on Wyoming’s very first Advocacy Action Day, held in 2018 — which came about after I attended my first Advocacy Forum.
