The New Americans Integration Center is proud to recognize Holly Blilie, Adam Fortwengler, Travis “Bull” Johnson, Abdirahman Abdulle Abdi and Yusuf Abdi Abdulle for their courage, compassion, and solidarity with New American families.

During challenging times involving ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement), they stepped forward to help, support, and stand alongside families in the Greater Grand Forks community.

We are honored to introduce Abdirisak Duale as an Honorable Attendee for Somali Networking Night 2026!

Abdirisak is a prominent community leader and the Executive Director and Chairman of the New Americans Integration Center (NAIC) in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Through NAIC, he leads vital programs providing employment assistance, housing navigation, ESL education, and youth development for immigrant and refugee families across the region.

A dedicated advocate for civic engagement, Abdirisak serves on Polk County’s Opioid Settlement Advisory Council and has led community bridge-building efforts as former President of the Al-Huda Islamic Center. His work continues to create pathways for economic self-sufficiency, social inclusion, and regional collaboration.
