Freetown Regional Food Pantry The Food Pantry is governed by a Board of Directors and operates as an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity.

At the Freetown Regional Food Pantry, we are committed to fighting hunger and improving the well-being of individuals and families in Freetown and the surrounding communities. The Freetown Regional Food Pantry was established in November 2020 in response to the growing need for food assistance in the Freetown community and surrounding areas, particularly due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as a grassroots effort organized by a group of concerned citizens, providing food distributions at Freetown Elementary School during the holiday season, has since grown into a well-structured, community-focused nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide individuals and families in need with access to nutritious food, over-the-counter medications, and essential necessities in a dignified and respectful manner. Through the support of volunteers, local partners, and generous donors, we strive to create a supportive environment that fosters hope, dignity, and self-sufficiency for all those we serve. We are dedicated to serving the South Coast region by addressing hunger and offering a reliable source of essential resources for those in need. As we continue to grow with the evolving needs of our community, we hope to expand our services in the future, further supporting families and individuals with additional resources to help them achieve long-term stability.

On behalf of the Freetown Regional Food Pantry we need to recognize some local business owner's and town employees. We recently acquired an electric fork lift to help make our volunteers job easier. The new fork lift required a charging station for charging the batteries. Marc Raposo of Raposo Electric here in town donated not only his labor but all the supplies as well to install the charging station. Rick Souza and Russel Souza owners of R&S Rental delivered and donated the machine needed for excavation to install the electric line. And as always Chuck Macomber and his staff came though digging the trench and doing all the back-fill needed. I really can't say enough about these people for doing what needs to be done to keep us up and running. Thanks again for all your support.

Once again I have to give thanks to our town employees and a local business. Chuck Macomber and the Highway Dept. did an outstanding job of plowing our location so we could be open for Monday.

Peter Borges of Borges Trucking and his staff donated their time to shovel all the walkways , entrances and loading dock at our location so we could be open for Monday.

We can't thank them enough for their time and dedication.

On behalf of the Freetown Regional Food Pantry I want too thank the team at Big Wheel Truck Sales, Bob Fouquette, Eric Fouquette and Linda Fouquette Rodrigues for keeping our truck on the road. They generously dontated their time and parts to repair our truck and keep us on the road for pickups. Once again a local business giving back to community.
