Today the class of 2020 saw each other in person for the first time since their opening retreat in March of 2020. It was a challenging first year navigating a virtual and in person hybrid, but they stuck with it and reaped the benefits today! The room was filled with big conversations, huge smiles and long (overdue) hugs!

It’s a beautiful day for an IN PERSON workshop! Today we are at the Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center for the Class of 2019’s last class of their 2 year program.

The resiliency workshop, which is the concluding class of the two year program, focuses on understanding what resiliency means for Long Island and Energeia parters, learning about infrastructure in place to address many facets of preparedness, identifying gaps and ongoing challenges and providing our partners with action steps for personal, community and professional preparedness.

A special shout out to Pat Beckley for completely reimagining the workshop and putting together an outstanding program! And a big thanks to all of our presenters and committee members for all of their time, expertise and support helping us deliver this workshop! Neela Mukherjee Lockel, Marian Conway, Sammy Chu, George Gorman, Jeffrey Reynolds, Rebecca Sanin and Mark Wagner.
