👏🎊We couldn’t be more proud of our East Falmouth Elementary School family! Big shout out to all the teachers and staff who, in spite of all the schools’ challenges, are being recognized by DESE. Out of 1,500 MA schools, East Falmouth is 1 of the 55 schools being recognized! 🦅👏🎊
East Falmouth Elementary School was selected as a Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) School of Recognition. The award was announced at the February 10 School Committee meeting and is given to schools that "demonstrate progress toward annual accountability targets, with an emphasis on improved achievement in ELA and math.” 🎖
Superintendent Lori S. Duerr presented East Falmouth Principal Rose Moran with a plaque to be hung in the school. Duerr said that East Falmouth is one of 55 schools out of 1,500 statewide to be selected based on DESE assessment accountability reports. She said East Falmouth demonstrated significant improvement and high growth.
“It’s a credit to the teachers,” Moran said. She thanked the faculty and staff for all their dedicated work.
