Banjo Burke Festival

Banjo Burke Festival The Banjo Burke Irish Trad Weekend on the Erie Canal takes place on October 11-14, 2019. Many died of mosquito borne fevers in summer and frostbite in winter.

200 years ago this fall, Irish contract laborers began digging the Erie Canal through Montezuma Swamp. They died midst the stranger. It's about time they had a real Irish sendoff. Join us for a cruise session on the Colonial Belle, concert, ceili, and workshops in Fairport and Rochester, NY
