“Fostering Community — where Christ feeds the hungry and sends the faithful.”

Today, that wasn’t just a phrase on the wall. It was unfolding right in front of us.

The Boundless Trailer had the honor of partnering with Holy Lutheran Methodist Church for outreach, and it was powerful to watch neighbors sorting through clothing, picking up food, and connecting with volunteers who genuinely care. Every table told a story. Every bag packed represented dignity, not just distribution.

Food insecurity is real in our community. The needs are tangible. But so is compassion. So is collaboration. So is the Church when it shows up with open hands.

Seeing familiar faces and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other incredible organizations reminded us that this work is never meant to be done alone.

Grateful to serve.
Grateful to partner.
Grateful to witness community in action. 🤍

Okay but can we just take a moment for Miss Casper’s 5th grade class at St. Rose Catholic School?👏

Because they showed up.

These students collected much-needed items for The Boundless Trailer, and they didn’t come halfway. They came generous. They came thoughtful. They came ready to serve.

Every hygiene item donated helps us serve individuals and families with dignity. What may have felt like a class project is about to make a very real difference in someone’s life.

Miss Casper — thank you for leading with compassion and awareness. The way we teach kids to care about their community matters.

And because generosity deserves to be met with generosity, I had the honor of donating a copy of Hope on Wheels to their classroom. My hope (no pun intended) is that it reminds them they’re never too young to carry light into hard places.

5th grade — you understood the assignment. Keep being bold in kindness. It looks good on you.

If your classroom, church, or business wants to host a drive for The Boundless Trailer, message us.

Let’s keep building something that lasts.🖤

We’re rolling into 2026 with our first Boundless Outreach of 2026✨

We are so excited to kick off the new year with our first outreach of 2026 in partnership with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and so many incredible community partners who make this mission possible.

Saturday, February 21st from 9:00–10:30 AM at 1755 Delhi St, Dubuque, IA 52001 - Registration forms will be provided upon arrival, and resources will be available while supplies last.

The Boundless Trailer will be on-site and set up indoors with our usual offerings — hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and other essential resources.

We are also grateful that Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will be hosting a hot breakfast, and additional community partners will be present with even more resources and support for those who attend.

This outreach is especially meaningful, as it will be Paige’s final outreach before heading to New Orleans to begin her next chapter. She’ll be serving in the morning and hitting the road that afternoon — but even as we enter this transition season, our mission remains the same: No matter where we go, we want every person to feel loved, seen, and reminded that they deserve access to the basic necessities of life.

We hope you’ll join us. 💛

Smiling ear to ear—and for good reason. 💛

We always love when our organizations get the chance to collaborate, and partnering with The Workshop Galena is especially meaningful. During December and January, they hosted a tip jar at Gifted Hands Thrift Store and generously donated the proceeds—$125—to The Boundless Trailer. This money will be put towards supporting our organization's operating costs!

Gifted Hands isn’t just a thrift store; it directly supports The Workshop’s mission of creating meaningful job opportunities for individuals with special needs.

When nonprofits support one another, it’s powerful—because real community impact happens when missions align and work together!

Gifted Hands Thrift Store Hours:
Monday–Friday: 9am–5pm
Saturday: 9am–1pm
Sunday: Closed
Located: right next to the galena workshop building!

We’re so grateful to stand alongside organizations that lead with dignity, inclusion, and heart.

As this year comes to a close, our hearts are full in a way that words almost can’t capture. What we feel most is gratitude — for every person who has believed in The Boundless Trailer, prayed for this mission, given generously, volunteered faithfully, and stood with us through a year that asked more of all of us than we expected.

This year stretched us. The need in our communities continued to grow, often faster than the resources available to meet it. There were moments when we weren’t sure how the next outreach would come together, and yet — every time — provision arrived. Sometimes through a donation. Sometimes through a last-minute connection. Sometimes through prayer alone. Because of you, the work never stopped. Hope kept moving.

We want to thank you not only for what you gave, but for the trust you placed in this mission. Your support — whether consistent or occasional, visible or behind the scenes — made real impact in real lives. You carried more than supplies this year; you carried dignity, compassion, and a reminder that people are seen and valued.

As we look ahead, we are entering a season of intentional prayer and discernment. We are asking God for wisdom around sustainability, provision, and how to steward this work well as the need continues to increase. That may require us to adapt our structure, adjust our pace, or seek new footing for the future — all with the same heart and obedience that brought us here.

If you are willing, we invite you to pray with us in the year ahead — for clarity, for continued provision, and for the people and families we serve every single day. Thank you for walking alongside us, for believing when the path wasn’t clear, and for being part of what God is doing through The Boundless Trailer.

We are deeply grateful for you — and for the way you have helped carry hope forward this year. 🤍

At one point, Jen threw a frozen hamburger and it almost took Joe out. ❄️🎄

And honestly… that pretty much sums up our Brighter Christmas Distribution.

It was one of the coldest days of the year. Hams and pounds of hamburger were literally flying. Numbers were being yelled as cars pulled in faster than we could load them. Hands were frozen. Voices were hoarse. And we were all running on caffeine, adrenaline, and a whole lot of love!

This year, The Boundless Trailer served 33 local families — just shy of 175 individuals. Behind those numbers were weeks of planning, donation pickups, Giving Tree tags, late-night organizing, last-minute shopping, repacking baskets (more than once), and the quiet mental load that doesn’t shut off. It was exhausting — the deep kind — but it was also deeply meaningful.

What carries us through every year is gratitude. For the families who trust us. For the volunteers who show up. For the community that never fails to remind us that generosity multiplies when it’s shared.

We are so thankful for the businesses and organizations who partnered with us and helped make this possible:

Thank you to Frentress Bar & Grill, East Dubuque Daycare, Natural Nectar, and the East Dubuque Student Council - for hosting Giving Trees and rallying local support to fulfil our families requests.

Thank you, One Sound Meditation - for collecting monetary donations that covered supplies and last-minute wishlist needs

Thank you Toys for Tots — for keeping the toy pile stocked!

Thank you Elks Club in Galena — for providing food boxes for every family!

Thank you St. Mary’s Church & Parish Center — for opening your doors to your space for us to oppertare out of as well as hosting a giving tree!

And to the people who made the chaos work — lifting heavy boxes, loading cars in freezing temps, calling numbers, cracking jokes, dodging airborne pounds of hamburger, and serving with full hearts!

Joleen Reisen, Gail Johnston, Jersey Johnston, Jen Heim (iconic hamburger moment), Joe Heim (we’re glad you survived), Morgan Patters, Cody Johnston, Natalie Cavanaugh, and Little Echo (our smallest helper with the biggest heart).

This marked our 5th year leading Brighter Christmas. We’re incredibly grateful… and yes, very tired — the kind of tired that comes from carrying something that matters. The kind that reminds us leadership isn’t glamorous, but it’s sacred.

Thank you for trusting The Boundless Trailer. Thank you for believing in this work. And thank you for helping us make Christmas brighter — even on the coldest, busiest days of the year.

Now if you’ll excuse us… we’ll be thawing out, catching up on sleep, and keeping a safe distance from frozen pounds of hamburger!!❤️

A New Gem in East Dubuque… and a Heart That Shines Even Brighter ✨

Culbies Event Center may have just opened their doors this year, but somehow it already feels like a place our community has been waiting for.

The moment you walk in, you’re hit with this “oh my gosh, this is stunning” kind of feeling — the lighting, the details, the warmth… it’s truly drop-dead gorgeous. A space built for celebrations, connection, and those moments people remember forever.

But what moved me the most wasn’t the beauty of the room — it was the beauty of their heart.

At their Merry & Bright Vendor Event, Culbies chose to donate 50% of their door proceeds to The Boundless Trailer. Half of their earnings. From a brand-new business. That kind of generosity is rare. That kind of heart is special. And that kind of investment in community…it makes you stop and breathe a little deeper.

They didn’t just host an event — they showed us who they are.
A place that doesn’t just hold people’s best moments… but helps create them.
A place that doesn’t just open its doors… but opens its heart.
A place that is already becoming part of the fabric of East Dubuque.

Because of their kindness, more families will be cared for this holiday season. More essentials will be stocked. More hope will be delivered straight to the doorsteps of people who need it most.

To the entire Culbies team: thank you for choosing generosity before recognition, community before comfort, and heart over everything. Your space is beautiful — but the way you showed up for us is something we’ll remember for a long, long time. 🤍

Welcome to East Dubuque. We’re so incredibly grateful you’re here.

It’s Giving Tree Season, Boundless Family! 🎄

Our favorite time of year is officially HERE — when our community comes together to wrap the whole place in kindness (minus the actual wrapping paper 😉.

We’re thrilled to share all of our 2025 Giving Tree locations across the community! Every tag represents a local child or family who could use a little extra love this Christmas season… and you always show up in the most beautiful way.

Here’s how to be part of the magic:

🎁 Grab a tag
🛍️ Shop for the gift
🔙 Return the item to the SAME location you pulled the tag from
— this helps keep every list organized and ensures every child gets exactly what they wished for!

Please keep gifts unwrapped and make sure the original tag is attached.

All items must be returned by Thursday, December 11th.

After that, all gifts will head to The Boundless Trailer, where — with the help of our amazing partners, schools, churches, and local businesses — we’ll get them into the hands and homes of families who truly need them.

East Dubuque… you have no idea how much joy you bring. Thank you for helping us spread hope, dignity, and a little Christmas sparkle all across our community.

Let’s make this the biggest, brightest season yet!

Mind. Body. Soul. Community. 💛

I want to extend the deepest gratitude to XRP Fitness for gathering essentials for The Boundless Trailer. What you collected isn’t “just” hygiene products or basic needs — it’s dignity, comfort, and hope being placed directly into the hands of families who are trying their best to get through hard seasons. Your support becomes the difference between someone feeling forgotten and someone feeling seen.

But more than the donations, I’m grateful for Kim — the heart behind XRP.

It’s not every day you meet a woman who leads with such grounded strength… who pours into people not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. The way she cares about the whole person — mind, body, and soul — is rare. And it shows in the culture she’s built inside her gym. You can feel it the moment you walk in: the warmth, the encouragement, the belief in people becoming their healthiest, strongest selves — inside and out.

There is something deeply special about a space led with that kind of intention.

Thank you, Kim, for showing up for this community in a way that truly matters. For seeing the need. For saying “yes” without hesitation. And for modeling what it means to care for people in every dimension of their lives.

I’m excited to see where XRP Fitness continues to grow from here — and I’m even more excited about what future collaborations might look like. When people with aligned hearts come together, beautiful things always happen.

Here’s to community. To compassion. And to women building something meaningful in the world.

Brighter Christmas is officially underway — and we need your help!!🎅

This year, just over 35 families—about 125 individuals—in our community are walking through incredibly difficult seasons. Many are facing job loss, housing instability, illness, or simply trying to keep the lights on. And yet… every single one of them deserves to feel seen, supported, and cared for this Christmas.

With your help, each family will receive:
- A Boundless Trailer hygiene bag filled with everyday essentials
- A full basket of cleaning supplies
- A brand-new outfit for each child
- A holiday food basket provided by the Elks Club
- Toys through Toys for Tots
✨ AND we do everything we can to meet each child’s personal wishlist requests

These aren’t just items.
They are dignity.
They are relief.
They are reminders that this community still believes in them.

But we can’t do this alone.

If you feel led to help, here are two meaningful ways to get involved:

1. Donate - Every dollar helps us purchase outfits, fill hygiene/cleaning kits, and honor children’s individual Christmas wishes. Give here: www.theboundlesstrailer.org. Your generosity truly changes Christmas for an entire household.

2. Sponsor a Child - Comment a 💗 pink heart for a girl or a 💙 blue heart for a boy, and we’ll message you their wishlist and sizing. It’s one of the most personal and powerful ways to support a child directly.

Your kindness makes a brighter Christmas possible—one family, one child, one act of generosity at a time.
Thank you for showing up again this year with love, dignity, and hope.

Happy Birthday to Our Founder, Paige Johnston! 🌟

Today we celebrate not just the day Paige was born, but the incredible heart and vision she brings to The Boundless Trailer every single day. 💛

Paige lives out what it means to be boundless—showing up with compassion, grit, and unwavering hope. She pours herself into creating spaces where people feel seen, loved, and reminded of their worth. From dreaming boldly to putting in the behind-the-scenes work, Paige leads with courage and humility, reminding us that two truths can coexist: struggle and strength, grief and gratitude, heartbreak and hope.

She is wildly multipassionate and always has a million things going on, yet she never fails to show up when a friend needs a picture hung, when a sibling needs a ride home, or when someone who the world might say “doesn’t deserve it” needs to be loved anyway. That’s who Paige is—the kind of person who makes room for people, no matter what.

We hope you’re resting up and soaking in all the love in Philadelphia, Paige—you deserve it. 💫

Happy Birthday, Paige! 🥳 Thank you for being the heartbeat of Boundless. Here’s to another year of growth, impact, and beautiful adventures ahead.
