Many SNAP participants who were previously exempted from work requirements must now work 20hrs/week and provide adequate documentation in order to continue receiving SNAP benefits. These individuals include:

โ€ข able-bodied adults without dependents aged 55-64
โ€ข able-bodied adults with dependents 14+ years old
โ€ข veterans
โ€ข people experiencing homelessness
โ€ข 18-24 year old aging out of foster care

If you no longer qualify for an exemption and you fail to meet work requirements/provide adequate documentation, you will only be eligible for SNAP benefits for 3 months in a 3 year period.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ That means: If you have failed to meet requirements for March and April, May will the last month you are eligible to receive benefits through March 2029.
