Safe Haven Ministries Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization that supports and serves as a resource to families, individuals including the underserved in our communities. Lisa Johnson, the founder and CEO, of Safe Haven Ministries, Inc. started her first site, Lisa's Safe Haven and those to follow out of LOVE. When her first and only son was born, he struggled digesting infant form
ula. His constant illness caused her to quit a job that was much needed by her family to sustain. Neighbors in the community realized she was at home sought her help sending their children to school when they had early work schedules. Child by child caused Lisa to soon began transforming her home into classroom spaces. What was the living room furniture, was gone and soon after the dining room furniture until what was her home now looked like classrooms. Her title as the neighborhood "Nanny," the name her grandmother was coined, soon turned to Lisa Johnson the daycare lady. It has been 18 years, since LOVE took over her home. The initial site has grown to now include four child care home licenses, two child care center licenses, and a traveling business. Listening to God and the LOVE for her son has
