We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of one of our great supporters Mother Ruth Munsey of Family Christian Center (FCC)
Dear Pastor Steve Munsey, Munsey Family, and Family Christian Center,
On behalf of Grace Beyond Borders NWI, I want to express our deepest gratitude for the life, faith, generosity, and friendship of Mother Ruth Munsey. Her support of our ministry was more than financial—it was a meaningful investment in the lives of women, children, and families seeking hope, stability, and a new beginning.
Mother Munsey played a special role in helping Grace Beyond Borders establish and open the Women and Childrens Mission (WCM). Through her multi-year commitment of monthly financial support, she provided a dependable foundation that helped sustain our ministry and advance the vision for a safe and welcoming home for women and children.
She also generously opened doors for Grace Beyond Borders to share our mission with others by providing opportunities for us to speak at Family Christian Center Missions and helped connect us with individuals who became supporters of the ministry. Her willingness to advocate for our work expanded our circle of partners and helped others understand the importance of serving those impacted by homelessness and addiction.
Her contributions to the WCM were especially meaningful. Mother Munsey offered thoughtful recommendations for improving the facility and generously provided furniture, particularly for the lobby. Her attention to that space helped create a warm and welcoming first impression for women and children entering the Mission—communicating that they were valued, cared for, and deserving of a place they could call home.
She also facilitated significant donations from International Christian Ministries and Family Christian Center Missions, further strengthening the resources available to the women and children we serve.
We will always remember Mother Munsey as someone who did not simply support the mission—she helped build it. Her generosity, encouragement, connections, and personal investment made a lasting difference in the ministry of Grace Beyond Borders NWI `and in the lives of those we have been privileged to serve.
We celebrate the life of Mother Munsey and are grateful for the legacy she leaves behind. The lives touched, the doors opened, and the ministries strengthened through her generosity will continue to bear fruit for years to come.
May the Munsey family take comfort in knowing that her kindness and faithfulness made a lasting impact. We are honored to have been recipients of her generosity and friendship, and we will carry her memory with deep appreciation and affection.
