As you may know, Jimmy was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in February of 2011. After receiving three rounds of chemotherapy, two weeks of radiation, a bone marrow transplant and about three months of hospitalization, he can gladly say that he is in remission. Since then we have all become very involved with the LLS. Last year, our team raised OVER $11,000 and this year we want to surpass that! This May, Jimmy will be cancer free for FOUR YEARS! It is our hope that we can help other patients reach remission too, and that is where you come in! Light The Night Walk is LLS’s annual walk and fundraising event and the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Teams of friends and families or co-workers raise funds for cancer research and to provide services in their communities. We are living in an extraordinary moment. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is on the brink of incredible breakthroughs that have already begun to change the lives of thousands of patients; treatments that can manage a person's condition with a daily pill, therapies that seek out cancer cells and kill them, and the use of a patient's own immune system to eradicate cancer not someday, but today.
