📲 WATCH: State of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signs the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) reauthorization legislation (A-4011/S-2931) into law at LIUNA Laborers Local 472 SET!

Governor Murphy:
"If our infrastructure falls behind, our entire economy falls behind.

"So again, I am thrilled to be joined by members of Laborers' Local 472 to celebrate this historic victory for New Jersey's commuters, families, and everyone who relies on our state's infrastructure.

"Mike, I want to thank you, personally, for your leadership on this. In a few moments, I'll walk over and have the honor of signing a piece of legislation that I think will create thousands of good paying jobs for our fine Union workers, like so many standing here and sitting with us today."

Today, the Legislature invested in a stronger New Jersey by passing A4011/S2931. This legislation will ensure a fully funded Transportation Trust Fund over the next five years. Building the Future Foundation thanks Senate President Nicholas Scutari, Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin, Senator Paul Sarlo, Assemblyman Clinton Calabrese, Assemblyman Benjie Wimberly, Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez, and Assemblywoman Garnet Hall for their leadership on this issue. Our state will be a better, stronger place because of today’s action.

Building the Future supporters testifying today before the Assembly Appropriations Committee on the critical importance of passing A4011/S2931, legislation which would fully fund the Transportation Trust Fund. The Committee passed A4011/S2931 which now goes before the full Assembly.

Building The Future Foundation supporters Tom Bracken of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, Jennifer Mancuso of LiUNA and Joe Fiordaliso of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey testified before the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee today on the importance of a fully funded TTF and the passage of A4011/S2931. The bill was voted out of committee and now awaits a vote before the full Senate.

Today, Building the Future Foundation announced our statewide effort to support passage of A4011/S2931, legislation that would reauthorize funding for the Transportation Trust Fund for another five years.
