It's now been 18 months since we've begun, and we've helped more families then I've ever thought possible! In 2025 we helped over 10 families and raised over $40k in GoFundMe's directly for those families!

But no matter how far we've come, reading this article and thinking of the hardships we've crossed, my eyes fill with tears.

Looking through the eyes of the right person, every tragedy can be turned into a blessing! Be the blessing!

The family that lost their home 2 days ago didn't have insurance and lived in Lake Arthur Estates and is responsible for removal of their home. We're hoping to find someone to help them with this task.

Bottom Shelf Butler News BSBN has reached out to us to help a family that lost their home today (1/23) to a structure fire. We will start collecting donations at The Coffee Shoppe & Fox's Pizza Den - Chicora .

Great work to all companies! We responded with Essential Bags for the family and a couple coats. We also offered help through the insurance process. Thank goodness no one was hurt and the firefighters responded quickly to save the home!

At approximately 01:09 AM, the Bruin Volunteers were dispatched to a structure fire in Bruin Borough. Engine 29-2 responded first with a crew of five interior firefighters. Upon arrival, crews encountered a working fire on the Delta side of the structure.

Engine 29-2’s crew quickly deployed the bumper line to the Delta side and achieved a fast exterior knockdown. They then advanced the line to the Alpha side to make an interior attack. The fire was brought under control within five minutes of arrival, using only 900 gallons of water. This quick stop prevented the fire from spreading from the garage into the house.

Great work by all 12 of our members and by all departments involved.

Andrew had just arrived to work as he received a call that his home was on fire. He immediately left work and arrived to his home fully engulfed in flames.

Andrew Myers, his wife Katlynn, and their FIVE (5) children lost everything they've ever had, including part of their family with the loss of their 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Unfortunately they did not have insurance and it's a complete loss.

Some time ago, this sweet family lost everything they owned in a house fire. They didn't have insurance and have been struggling since. There was going to be a benefit at the time, but it fell through the cracks..... if you can, please help support and attend this event! Since their fire, even though still struggling themselves, they've reached out to help multiple fire victim families and have volunteered to help us multiple times as well!
