🙌🎉 What an incredible way to wrap up the season!

Our HKRS East Bernard Awards Week / Neon Color Run was an absolute blast, and we just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this season so special. Final results can be found in the comment below!

Thank you to all of our volunteers, families, supporters, and especially our amazing high school volunteers who stepped up to help throughout the event. Your time, energy, and willingness to serve made a huge difference.

Special recognition again to Sandy and Kristy, who poured so much into this season behind the scenes. HKRS East Bernard would not have been what it was this year without y’all.

Today is the grand finale of our season, and we’re ending with our brightest event yet — the COLOR RUN! 🎉🎨 Get ready to run, laugh, and cross the finish line in a burst of color!

We have an exciting afternoon planned for all of our runners and their families:

🏃‍♀️ Parent Mile — Parents, lace up your running shoes and join the fun!
�🏅 Awards Ceremony — We’ll celebrate all of our incredible runners and their accomplishments this season.
�🔊 Turtlebox Speaker Giveaway — One lucky runner will take home an amazing Turtlebox speaker!

This season has been filled with hard work, determination, and so many smiles. We are incredibly proud of every child who showed up each week, pushed themselves, and discovered the joy of running.

Please join us in wishing our favorite Healthy Kids Running Series volunteer, Sam, the very best of luck as she competes tomorrow (May 14) at the UIL 3A State Track & Field Championships! 🏃‍♀️⭐

Sam has qualified for state in not one, but TWO events — the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run! What an incredible accomplishment, and a true testament to her hard work, dedication, and talent. We are so proud of her!

Our young runners look up to student-athletes like Sam, and we are grateful for the energy and encouragement she brings to HKRS each week. She is a wonderful role model who inspires the next generation of runners to dream big and work hard.

Thank you, Sam, for investing your time in our kids and helping shape their athletic journeys. We’ll be cheering you on all the way to the finish line! 💙💚🏅

We’re wrapping up an incredible season with our BIGGEST and BRIGHTEST event yet — a COLOR RUN! 🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

🎨As runners cross the finish line, they’ll be showered with non-toxic color powder for an unforgettable finish! If your child is sensitive to powder or you’d like extra eye protection, sunglasses will be provided. 😎

💐 Yesterday’s Healthy Kids Running Series was extra special as we honored the incredible moms, grandmas, stepmoms, aunts, and mother figures who cheer our runners on every single week.

Before the run, each child had the chance to surprise their mom with a flower—a small gesture to say “thank you” for the countless ways they show up with love, encouragement, and support. Watching those smiles and hugs was one of the sweetest moments of the season!

These amazing women lace up shoes, hand out water, offer pep talks, and stand proudly at the finish line. Their support helps our kids grow stronger, healthier, and more confident with every step.

Thank you to all the moms and maternal figures who make this program so meaningful. We are grateful for everything you do—not just on Mother’s Day, but every day. 💖

Week 3: Community Week was fun, wet, and egg-cellent! 💦 🥚

We have LOTS of people to thank for making Community Week so special:

• Our Week 3 sponsor, Vincek's Smokehouse, for supporting our runners and community—and for sending everyone off with Brahma-maroon necklaces, clappers, and noise makers!

• East Bernard Volunteer Fire Dept for bringing the fire truck, letting kids explore it, and delivering an unforgettable (and refreshing!) cool-down at the finish! 🚒💦

• Our amazing parents and spectators who joined in on the messy egg toss—things got a little wild, but those egg-cited smiles made it all worth it! 😄🥚
