As the scouting *season* winds down, the troop got in a little warm-up ride to get ready for an upcoming Erie Canal biking/campout adventure.
After some quick reminders of bike safety, we were off! Somehow riding INTO the wind with every turn, 17 scouts (and guest appearance of 1 cub!) and 8 adults took a ride around the Outer Harbor for over 6.5 miles (with a few unintentional detours). With all scouts, adults AND bikes surviving (only 1 minor scout collision), it was a gorgeous night for a ride!

Excellent turnout this evening for our service project at Griffins Mills First Presbyterian Church with 20 Scouts and 8 adults participating in the cleanup! Scouts (and adults) raked, trimmed bushes, lopped branches, lifted heavy things (carefully), and did an overall great job of cleaning up the church grounds. Members of the church were kind enough to have sweets and treats waiting for the boys as a small token of appreciation for their hard work. "Good turn" by the Troop!
