The Parenting Place The Parenting Place is a private nonprofit organization serving families in Upstate South Carolina.

Our goal is to provide services and supports that strengthen families. Through this, we aspire to prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect. Our mission is to build relationships and provide services, resources, and support that prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect in Upstate South Carolina. The Parenting Place offers Triple P Parenting Education classes, Counseling and Supportive services, and the Healthy Families program. We collaborate with other community organizations to host and participate in events geared towards benefiting families.

We couldn’t be more proud to see our own Sanquinita Martin celebrated as a 2026 National Home Visitor of the Year! 🩵

For 12 years, Sanquinita has poured her heart into supporting families across the Upstate — building meaningful relationships, encouraging parents, and helping families navigate the joys and challenges of raising young children.

This recognition is such a beautiful reflection of the dedication, compassion, and consistency she brings to her work every single day. We are incredibly grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of the families she serves and for the example she sets for our team.

Thank you to the Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals for recognizing Sanquinita and to the South Carolina Children's Trust for helping shine a light on the importance of home visiting.
