“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
‭‭ -Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As a citizen identifies with their homeland, Christians belong to God’s eternal kingdom. This world is not our final destination. We are pilgrims passing through, awaiting the day when Christ returns and gathers His people to Himself. The promises of God extend far beyond our present circumstances. We have an inheritance that cannot be diminished, corrupted, or taken away. Looking toward our heavenly inheritance changes our perspective. When trials come or earthly treasures lose their value, may we be reminded that our greatest treasure is found in Christ. In this week’s passage Paul states that we “eagerly wait” for the Savior. This is not passive waiting but hopeful expectation. We live faithfully today because we are confident about tomorrow. Every act of obedience, every sacrifice for Christ, and every step of faith is rooted in the certainty that our future is with Him. The hope of heaven should not cause us to neglect our responsibilities on earth. Instead, it ought to motivate us to live with purpose. Knowing where we belong helps us live differently. We seek God’s kingdom first, invest in eternal things, and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. If there is a burden you are currently carrying, remember that your ultimate home is not here. Your inheritance is secure in Christ. Lift your eyes beyond the temporary and fix your heart on the eternal kingdom that awaits you.

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
‭‭ -Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Every day is a gift from God. We often think we have plenty of time to pursue our goals, strengthen relationships, serve others, and grow in our faith. Yet Paul reminds believers to walk carefully and wisely, making the most of every opportunity because the days are filled with distractions, temptations, and uncertainties. Time is one resource we can never recover once it’s spent. The question is not how much time we have, but how faithfully we use it. Are we investing our days in things that have eternal value, or are we allowing our lives to drift by consumed with temporary pursuits? Living wisely begins with recognizing that our lives belong to God. Each conversation, task, challenge, and opportunity can be used to honor Him. When we seek God’s guidance daily, He helps us prioritize what matters most: Loving Him, serving others, growing in character, and sharing His truth. The world constantly pulls our attention in countless directions. It is easy to become busy without being purposeful. But God calls us to live intentionally, making choices that reflect His wisdom and His purposes. A life lived to the full is not measured by accomplishments alone, but by faithfulness to God’s calling. Consider how you are spending the time God has given you. Ask Him to help you recognize opportunities to love, encourage, serve, and glorify Him. When we dedicate our days to the Lord, even ordinary moments become meaningful investments in His kingdom.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another."

John 13:34 NKJV

Love is one of the clearest marks of a follower of Jesus Christ. When Jesus spoke these words to His disciples, He was preparing them to understand that true love goes beyond words, it is shown through action, humility, and grace. Jesus loved the Church by serving others selflessly. He washed the feet of His disciples, cared for the broken, forgave sinners, and ultimately gave His life on the cross for humanity. His love was not conditional upon perfection. It was rooted in mercy and compassion. As Christians, we are called to reflect that same love to those around us our families, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even those who may mistreat us. Loving like Christ means choosing kindness when it is easier to be harsh. It means encouraging others, bearing burdens together, and showing compassion to those who are hurting. This kind of love points people toward Jesus because it reflects His heart. The Church grows stronger when believers genuinely care for one another. Unity, peace, and spiritual maturity flourish where Christlike love is practiced. In a divided and hurting world, Christians have the opportunity to stand apart by loving others in a way that mirrors the Savior. Today, ask the Lord to help you love others with the same grace He has shown you. Someone around you may need encouragement, forgiveness, or simply to know they are seen and valued. When you love as Christ loved, you become a living testimony of His presence in the world.

“Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.”
‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭108‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Victory in Jesus Christ is not a future promise alone, it is the present reality for every believer who walks by faith. This week’s passage of scripture reminds us that our strength does not come from ourselves, our talents, or our determination. True victory comes from The One who claimed victory over Hell and the grave. When life feels overwhelming, when spiritual battles intensify, or when discouragement tries to take hold, we can stand confidently knowing that Christ has already overcome. Jesus secured the ultimate victory through His death and resurrection. Sin was defeated. Death lost its sting. The enemy’s power was broken. Because of this, believers are not fighting for victory, we are living in victory. The battles we face today must bow before the authority of the risen Savior. Living in victory means refusing to be ruled by fear, shame, or defeat. It means trusting God even when circumstances appear difficult. David declared, “we will do valiantly,” not because the situation looked easy, but because God was with him. Faith sees beyond the past, present, and future and rests in the power of God. Sometimes situations seem insurmountable but God’s Word declares otherwise. In Christ, you are strengthened, loved, redeemed, and empowered. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Every day is an opportunity to walk boldly in that truth. No matter what challenge stands before you today, surrender to Him. In Him there is refuge, strength, hope, and yes, even victory.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:”
‭‭ -Proverbs‬ ‭31‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A godly mother leaves fingerprints on hearts that last far beyond childhood. Her work is often quiet, unseen, and repeated day after day prayers whispered over sleeping children, sacrifices made without announcement, strength carried through exhaustion, and love poured out even when her own heart is weary. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 31:28 that a faithful mother’s life produces honor. The praise she receives is not rooted in perfection, beauty, or worldly achievement, but in the lasting fruit of her love, wisdom, and devotion to God. Many mothers wonder if what they do truly matters. The endless laundry, the corrected attitudes, the rides to school, the sleepless nights, the tears prayed through in secret God sees every act of faithfulness. Heaven notices what the world may overlook. A mother’s influence reaches farther than she can imagine. Through her encouragement, children learn confidence. Through her prayers, homes are strengthened. Through her example, generations are shaped. May we celebrate mothers who continue loving through difficulty, serving through fatigue, and trusting God through every season. Whether biological, adoptive, spiritual, or nurturing in heart, their care reflects the tender love of God. If you are a mother, may you remember this truth: your labor in love is never wasted. Even on days when appreciation feels absent, God honors your faithfulness. And in His perfect timing, the seeds you have planted will bear fruit.

“Happy is the man who is always reverent, but he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity.”
‭‭ Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A hardened heart rarely happens overnight. It forms slowly through neglect, disappointment, pride, or repeated resistance to God’s voice. What once stirred conviction becomes easy to ignore. What once brought joy in God’s presence begins to feel distant or routine. This week’s passage of scripture offers both a warning and an invitation of reverence and hardness. Reverence is not fear in the sense of dread, but a tender awareness of God. A reverent heart listens, yields, and trembles at His word. In contrast, a hardened heart resists. It becomes dull, self-protective, and ultimately disconnected from the life God intends. In order to ensure that our hearts remain in alignment with God we must seek sincere repentance and renewal in prayer, recall God’s faithfulness in times past, fix our hearts consistently on God’s truth in His Word and take steps of obedience, no matter how small, according to His Word. A hardened heart is not the end of the story. Proverbs 28:14 reminds us that there is blessing in a life that remains tender before God. That tenderness is not weakness, it is strength rooted in dependence. And it is always within reach for those willing to turn back.

“How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.”
‭‭ -Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Godly wisdom isn’t just knowledge or intelligence. It’s the ability to see life from God’s perspective and to live accordingly. It shapes decisions, tempers reactions, and guides us when the path forward isn’t obvious. Think about the choices you face daily. Some promise immediate reward but carry hidden cost. Others require patience, humility, or restraint. Godly wisdom helps you discern the difference. It teaches you when to speak and when to stay silent, when to act and when to wait. Scripture consistently tells us that God gives wisdom generously to those who ask but it requires a shift in desire. Do we value wisdom as much as we value success? Do we pursue understanding with the same intensity we pursue comfort or achievement? Are we recognizing God as the source of it all? Because without pursuing Him, wisdom is lost. Consider what you’re chasing. If your energy is poured out in going about life in your own way you’ll eventually feel the emptiness of it. But if you seek God’s wisdom through His Word, through prayer, through a teachable heart, then you gain something that cannot be taken from you.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It’s easy to measure life by what is seen. The world teaches us to chase after wealth, status, comfort. Yet Jesus gently redirects our focus to something deeper and far more lasting: the condition and direction of our hearts. Earthly treasures, no matter how impressive, are temporary. They can fade, break, or be taken away. Even at their best, they cannot satisfy the deeper longings within us the need for peace, purpose, and eternal security. When our hearts are anchored to these things, we often find ourselves anxious, striving, or afraid of losing what we’ve built. Heavenly treasures, on the other hand, are eternal. They are found in our relationship with God, in acts of love, in faithfulness, in obedience, and in the quiet transformation of our character. These treasures cannot be stolen or diminished. They grow stronger as we invest in them, shaping us into people who reflect God’s heart. Jesus’ words are both a warning and an invitation. He isn’t simply telling us to avoid worldly treasure, He’s inviting us to something better. When we choose to value what God values, our hearts begin to shift. We experience a deeper joy that isn’t dependent on circumstances, and a peace that isn’t shaken by loss. Today, take a moment to consider to what holds your attention and what captures your thoughts and energy. These are clues to where your treasure lies. Ask God to help you realign your priorities, to loosen your grip on what is temporary, and to invest more fully in what is eternal.
