The Bible tells us to help carry each other's burdens, and by doing so we are obeying the law of Christ. We are told to love the Lord our God with our heart, soul and mind. But most importantly, we are to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Do you know someone who is burdened physically, emotionally, or spiritually? How can you help to carry their burdens and show them the love of God?

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember those persons who literary carried friends and mostly strangers to safety. Do you remember the acts of love, sharing the burdens of others, kindness and compassion being shown to everyone we met in the days and months that followed?

Never forget, and help us to show the love of God to others, by always trying to love others as ourselves. Help to lighten someone's burden and you yourself will be blessed.

It's the day for the Annual Bed Race! Come cheer for your favorite racers and support Faith in Action! I'm reposting the following information from the town of Cecilton page:

The 4th Annual Cecilton Bed Race is upon us. This Wednesday, April 1st at 6 pm. The fun is free and all are welcome but we’re racing for an important cause. A cause that truly matters to our community.

All race proceeds benefit our local food pantry, Faith in Action. Founded in 1982, the pantry serves 35 households — 77 of our neighbors and friends including 25 children. Many are seniors and individuals living with disabilities. Their impact is real, personal, and local. If you’re interested in making a donation, please consider canned goods, toiletries, cleaning supplies and monetary contributions. Let’s show our support on Race Day! 🏁

Faith in Action wishes each of you a Happy Thanksgiving, and extends our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. We are so blessed by your contributions and continued prayers. Currently we are providing food to 36 families in our community, comprised of 50 adults and 32 children.

There are many private individuals and local church and community organizations that help make our mission possible. But first and foremost, it is God who provides each and every day, as we carry out our food ministry.

We are always accepting donations of canned soups, meats, and vegetables. Cereal, oatmeal, and dried packaged foods are also needed. Faith in Action also accepts monetary donations as we must shop and purchase food items for distribution.

This Thanksgiving day we take time to reflect on all that God has provided. Our blessings overflow with His mercy and goodness. May we each have an attitude of gratitude!

Help FIA stock their food pantry by donating canned vegetables, tuna and chicken; cereals, jelly, peanut butter, soups, etc. Please donate any non-perishable food items to help feed those in need!

Faith in Action is currently serving over 70 persons with food who are in need. We appreciate your donations and your continued prayers!

As Thanksgiving day draws to a close, we remember and give thanks to God for His enduring and steadfast love. We give thanks for each person who donates and works with Faith in Action. We give thanks for the many blessings we are able to provide to those in need, through your generosity and continued prayers. Faith in Action truly appreciates the outpouring of love by our community and local churches at our annual Thanksgiving eve service. It was an amazing night of hearing God's word and music. We praise God from whom all blessings flow!

We are so very thankful to everyone who helped organize, donated, and took part in the Annual Bed Race! Your generosity provided Faith in Action with $1284.10, and a car loaded with food items! We praise God for your kindness as we serve those in need!
