🌻 Celebrating Our Mamas & Female Caregivers 🌻

Recently, we had the honor of celebrating some of the most extraordinary women we know — our mothers and female caregivers. These women don’t just parent, they show up every single day as fierce, loving advocates for their medically complex children. Every moment matters, and we are committed to making sure they feel seen, valued, and never alone on this journey.

Our caregivers enjoyed well-deserved facials, delicious refreshments, and so much laughter and connection with women who truly understand. Moments like these remind us exactly why we do what we do. We also mailed Mother’s Day cards to every family on our services, ensuring that even if they could not make the event they were seen, loved and valued.

A heartfelt thank you to Bubbly Facial Bar for opening your doors and spoiling our incredible caregivers with the pampering they so deeply deserve. Your partnership means everything to us!

Thank you to our amazing volunteers — your time, heart, and dedication make every event possible. We are so grateful for each and every one of you.

You believed in us from the very start, when this organization was nothing more than an idea and a whole lot of heart. You jumped in without hesitation and have been by our side every step of the way. Growing alongside you has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. To the mothers sitting bedside. The ones who learned medical terms they never wanted to know. Who schedule appointments instead of playdates, who advocate in rooms full of doctors, and who still find a way to make their child feel completely, wholly loved.

You are seen. You are valued. You are so deeply loved.

What you do goes far beyond motherhood — you are a caregiver, an advocate, a nurse, a researcher, a fighter, and a safe place all at once. Every single day.

🌸 Spring smiles, new friendships, and an event just for siblings!

A huge thank you to Travis and the S YMCA team for opening their doors and making our Spring Sibling Event such a special place to land — and to Coby’s for helping fuel the fun with lunch!

This day was designed just for the siblings of medically fragile children — the “glass children” who so often give quietly and carry more than anyone their age should have to. They are strong. They are compassionate. And they deserve an event that’s entirely theirs.

This spring, they found their people — laughing, connecting, and being reminded in every moment that they are seen, they are valued, and they are not alone.

☀️ Family Activity ☀️

We understand that having a medically fragile child is a journey for the entire family — and no family should walk that road alone. This was event was extra special as it was some of our children’s first time in a pool. We loved watching families make beautiful memories.

We are so grateful to the West YMCA for partnering with Rays for Rare and hosting this incredible private event. This family night out was a time of active fun, laughter, and genuine connection for these very special families. Thank you, Katie and the entire West YMCA team — you are absolutely amazing!

We are also deeply grateful to the Silver Sage Porsche Club for sponsoring ALL of our 2026 family events. Your generous support makes these moments possible, and it is a beautiful reminder of what community looks like in action.

Shout out to Victor and his daughter for serving up some amazing tacos and quesadillas!
