The Library Foundation of Eagle Pass renews it’s activities in a mayor way. Yesterday we had the privilege of having a visit by distinguished Eagle Pass native, Dr. Penny Morrill, author and expert on Mexican silver. An accomplished academic who studied at Tulane University, University of Pennsylvania and Maryland.

“Eagle Pass is my hometown. I do not simply carry memories of happy times in Eagle Pass - these memories live within me. They have formed me. This wonderful community - Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras - has always been one. I learned to do the jarabe tapatio when I was five and my family still insists on tamales at Christmas. My parents are buried in Eagle Pass, in the place they cherished. I feel blessed for my life in Eagle Pass.” -Dr. Penny Morrill.

Thank you Dr. Morrill for your generous visit and book donations!
