Valedictorians and Salutatorians Lead
Hundreds of Graduates at EPHS and CCWHS
By Jose G Landa
Eagle Pass High School and CC Winn High School will proudly see hundreds of senior students walk across the stage this weekend as the district celebrates graduation ceremonies for the Class of this year.
The group of graduates is being led by this year’s top academic achievers, the valedictorians and salutatorians from both campuses, who represent the highest levels of academic excellence in their respective schools.
At Eagle Pass High School, the Valedictorian honors were earned by Patricio Alfonso Sierra, while Gabriela Leyva earned the Salutatorian distinction.
At CC Winn High School, the Valedictorian honors were awarded to Alexander T. Curi, and the Salutatorian recognition went to Krestin A. Menchaca.
These academic distinctions represent years of dedication, discipline, and consistent performance in the classroom.
Being named valedictorian or salutatorian places these students at the very top of their graduating class, reflecting not only academic achievement but also perseverance and commitment.
Their accomplishments serve as a source of pride for their families, teachers, and school communities, marking a major milestone in their educational journey.
Graduation ceremonies for Eagle Pass High School will take place on May 22, while CC Winn High School will hold its commencement ceremony on May 23.
Superintendent Samuel Mijares congratulated all graduates, including the top five students from each campus, recognizing their hard work and the successful completion of their high school careers. He also extended his best wishes to all graduating seniors from both schools as they prepare to take their next steps in life, whether in higher education, military service, or the workforce.
