Servant Forge is excited to be constructing three new classrooms at Lead the Child Centre in Kakuma Refugee Camp! The construction of the classrooms is progressing well with installation of doors,window frames, roofing and plastering taking place.

The Centre serves 300+ students in crowded learning spaces, including a church space used by preschool children. These additional classrooms will provide much-needed room for a growing school community, creating a better environment for teaching and learning.

Some wounds cannot be seen. They still deserve care.

This World Mental Health Day, Servant Forge recognises the emotional burdens of displacement, loss and uncertainty.

In Kakuma and Lodwar, trauma healing sessions offered refugees space to address “heart wounds”—to share their experiences, process pain and find support as they journey towards healing.

Alongside food, shelter and livelihoods, emotional wellbeing deserves attention. Healing also needs compassion, connection and a listening ear.

Today, check in on someone. Listen with kindness. Make space for their story. Make sure someone else lights their candle.

This Mazingira Day (Environment Day), Servant Forge celebrates Hope Farm in Lodwar, where drip irrigation, composting and tree planting are helping turn dry land into productive farmland.

For 96 women and their families, caring for the land also means growing food and earning an income.

Every harvest is a reminder that protecting the environment and strengthening livelihoods can go hand in hand.

The first melons of the season are coming off the vines, while more continue to trail and grow across the Hope Farm in Lodwar.

Each harvest represents income for families, productive land, and greater food security in a region where farming in the desert was considered impossible!! Lives are changing for the better through sustainable agriculture!

The continued influx of refugees into Kakuma Refugee Camp, many of them being children, has placed significant pressure on available learning facilities.

Inadequate infrastructure and overcrowded classrooms continue to affect the quality of education, attendance and children’s ability to concentrate in class.

Servant Forge is excited to celebrate the start of construction of three new classrooms at Lead the Child Center. The new spaces will accommodate more learners and provide a safer, more supportive environment for children to learn and thrive.

Every season on a farm tells a story.

Schools are open for a new term, and we are grateful to continue supporting the feeding program at the Lead the Child Center in Kakuma.

Since the program began last year, the number of children participating has more than doubled. Every school day, they look forward to a warm cup of healthy, nutritious porridge; a simple meal that helps them get nourished and ready to learn.

Yesterday, we celebrated a very special milestone as Shadrack, John, Edwin and Grace- four children of Hope Farm beneficiaries — officially enrolled at Africa Nazarene University on fully funded scholarships!

From families working to build better livelihoods through Hope Farm in Turkana to seeing the next generation walk through university doors; This is what lasting impact looks like.

For Edwin, the moment was especially powerful:

“I never thought I would get such an opportunity to go to university because I lacked school fees, but now I get to study Linguistics, something I am very passionate about. I am forever grateful to everyone who made my dream come true.”

Our deepest gratitude to the Africa Nazarene University Foundation and Nashville First Church of The Nazarene for making these scholarships possible and investing in the dreams of these young people.

What began as a farm on land many believed was impossible to cultivate has become a living classroom for students from across Kenya. In partnership with the Turkana County Department of Crop and Livestock, Hope Farm is now hosting 17 interns from universities across the country, including Nairobi and other regions.

These students are learning directly from the women and men of the Hope Farm in Lodwar about sustainable farming in arid lands, climate adaptation and poultry farming.

This is generational transformation. Hope Farm beneficiaries who once faced doubt about what could be achieved in Turkana are now teaching future agricultural professionals and helping shape solutions for a changing climate.

From desert to demonstration farm.
From survival to leadership.
From one generation to the next.
