At the LEAD Child Center in Kakuma Refugee Camp, hope for a more sustainable future is taking shape through the establishment of a new posho mill.

Made possible through the generosity of donors and partners, the vision behind this community enterprise is to provide affordable milling services to the wider community while generating income that will help support the children’s feeding program and daily uji provision in the future.

Thank you for helping plant seeds of hope that will continue impacting lives for years to come.

Because of the generosity and support of our donor community, Servant Forge is celebrating another milestone in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

The Nazarene Church in Kakuma has received tailoring machines that will now help offer tailoring and trade skills classes within the camp.

More than equipment, these machines represent dignity, opportunity, and hope for women and youth seeking to build sustainable futures.

Thank you to every donor and partner who made this possible. Your support is creating lasting change and empowering communities one life at a time.

We recently visited the New Scent Center in Tala and spent time with the incredible girls at the rescue center who are full of strength, resilience, and hope.

Right now, the center is building a much-needed dining hall for the New Scent Education Center, where the students will have their meals in a safe and structured environment. This space will be more than just a place to eat;it will foster community, and a sense of normalcy for the children each day.

New Scent is a center dedicated to the restoration and rehabilitation of girls who have survived sexual abuse, offering them a safe space to heal, grow, and rebuild their futures.

You can be part of this journey. Help us complete the dining hall and create a lasting impact in their lives.

What do you do when everything you worked for is suddenly gone?

At Hope Farm, a viral attack destroyed a thriving watermelon crop—wiping out months of hard work and expected income for the women who depend on it. It was a heavy loss. One that could have easily led to giving up.

But instead, something remarkable happened. The women and the farm committee chose to respond with unity. They came together, contributed what they could, and raised enough to purchase new watermelon seeds. Today, those seeds are already in the ground across 14 blocks—a quiet but powerful declaration: we will start again.

Now, this new crop needs protection. Without fertilizer and proper pest control, the risk remains.

$1000 will ensure the entire farm is covered and this fresh start is not lost again.

Sometimes, hope looks like starting over—together. Stand with Hope Farm today by donating through www.servantforge.org/resiliencefund

Hope Farm had the pleasure of hosting pupils from Methewan Primary School for an engaging and hands-on learning experience in smart agriculture.

The pupils explored key water conservation practices including mulching, cover cropping, and the use of shade nets. They also gained practical knowledge on watermelon farming and its management, equipping them with skills that are both relevant and sustainable for the future.

Hope Farm continues to serve as a model learning center for schools and institutions, nurturing young minds and inspiring the next generation to embrace innovative, climate-smart agricultural practices

Turkana Pastoralists Development Organization (TUPADO) has partnered with Hope Farm for a one-year collaboration, aligned with its mission to reduce vulnerability and improve livelihoods through participatory approaches, stakeholder inclusion, capacity strengthening, and informed decision-making, in partnership with GIZ.

The engagement will focus on strengthening farmers’ leadership and financial management skills, alongside training on pasture propagation and fruit tree establishment—key areas that support sustainable agricultural practices and long-term resilience.

This partnership represents a strategic investment in empowering communities to take ownership of their growth, build sustainable livelihoods, and transition from vulnerability to resilience through knowledge, inclusion, and practical capacity building.

The women of Hope Farm work tirelessly in the fields, planting seeds of hope for their families.

Recently, the watermelon crop was attacked by the mosaic virus, worsened by the prolonged drought in the region. After months of hard work, the farm now faces the painful possibility of losing the crop if the spread continues.

But hope remains. The rains that have recently fallen are already helping reduce the spread of the virus.

Farming often comes with uncertainties, and sometimes the hardest challenges are beyond human control.

Please keep the women of Hope Farm in your prayers and continue supporting this project so hope can keep growing.

Today we celebrate women! Women who wake up before dawn to hustle, to care, to survive, and to dream. The theme reminds us that when we give women opportunity and support, we all gain a stronger, kinder world.

At Servant Forge, we meet determined mothers sorting heaps of waste at the Dandora Dumpsite in Nairobi, just to put food on the table; women who refuse to give up.

We meet families in the Kakuma Refugee Camp holding onto hope despite uncertainty.

Women at the forefront to speak out against gender based violence; rescuing and restoring young girls- giving them hope for tomorrow.

We interact with diligent women at the Wings of Hope Center learning tailoring skills to improve their living standards and rebuild their confidence step by step.

We celebrate resilient farmers at Hope Farm who are turning dry land into green vegetative land with bountiful harvests, proving that growth is possible even in tough, sandy soil.

These women are not asking for handouts. They are asking for a chance: To learn, to work,to thrive and to build a better future. When we invest in women, we gain stronger families and thriving communities.

This Women’s Day, let’s choose to give: because when women gain, we all gain.

In 2025, 38 students completed their training and proudly graduated from the Wings of Hope Center. What began as a journey of learning has quickly become a pathway to transformation.

Already, 15 graduates have launched their own sewing businesses within Lodwar. Through their skills, they are generating income, supporting their families, and stepping into a new season of confidence and possibility. These young entrepreneurs are not only changing their own futures but also strengthening their households economically.

Behind each success is determination, mentorship, and countless hours of practice, resilience, and growth.
