Friends of Attwater Prairie Chicken Refuge Friends of Attwater Prairie Chicken Refuge is a conservation organization supporting efforts to restore prairie & bring back the Attwater Prairie Chicken.

Friends of Attwater Prairie Chicken Refuge assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Natural Resource Conservation Service and other conservation organizations with their efforts to restore the prairie and bring back the Attwater’s Prairie-Chicken. Your membership can assist in our efforts to recover the endangered Attwater’s Prairie-Chicken and restore the native Texas coastal prairie for the benefit of present and future generations.

Our Prairie Chicken Festival is over and you might have missed it and wondered if there is any reason to come out to the refuge. The answer is YES! There are loads of wildflowers blooming and it is beautiful. And of course you might even see a prairie chicken. I didn't but I did see Mr. Bobwhite which is always a thrill. So what did I see? Enjoy. Please share any knowledge on the photos for which I have not included a caption.
