Rural economies offer unique challenges no matter where they are. In Eagle Butte though, a reservation community in central South Dakota, steps are being taken for a diversified, localized economy that are already visible on Main Street.

Lakota's visionary leadership, unwavering determination, and relentless commitment have transformed our organization and strengthened the communities we serve. She has led with courage, integrity, compassion, and purpose, never losing sight of our mission or the people at the heart of our work. Because of her bold vision and tireless dedication, Four Bands Community Fund has grown into an organization that creates lasting opportunities, builds generational wealth, and inspires hope throughout Native communities. Her impact reaches far beyond our walls and will be felt for generations to come. We are profoundly grateful for the wisdom, strength, and heart she brings to this work every single day.
