It's Give to the Max Day! Our mentoring program teaches middle school students life skills, such as making a good first impression. Recently, 8th graders at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Savage worked with mentors on introducing themselves and delivering a firm handshake. Help us expand our program by donating at www.hftmentoring.org.

Hope for Tomorrow students visit a workplace so our 8th graders can learn about a variety of jobs and to meet employees who share their career paths, challenges, and successes.

Here's a look at the Eagan Dakota Hills Middle School students visiting the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota offices last year. We're thankful for Blue Cross employees who mentor our Dakota Hills chapter!

Each year, CFANS hosts several Hope for Tomorrow chapters for a field trip to a college campus. At these visits, middle school students and their mentors participate in hands-on experiments about food science and learn about careers in animal science. And of course, we visit the animal barns! We also stop at Bailey Hall and eat lunch in the cafeteria. A panel of current CFANS students talk about the transition from high school to college.

Field trips like these show middle schoolers one opportunity for continuing their education after high school graduation. Thanks CFANS for your support of Hope for Tomorrow!
