Chef Lucas Food is an IRS (501)(c)(3) charity. We were born from the Make-A-Wish of Lucas Hobbs to serve up goodness to others via food truck. Through seed to table partnerships with the food service industry, we seek to strengthen communities and pediatric cancer families through the power of good food! Lucas learned that cooking was a great way for him to de-stress during his treatments because
cooking is a sensory experience that serves as a creative outlet. Moreover, it offers a way to feel good about life because of the family bond created between those helping cook the meal and those eating the meal. For children battling cancer, cooking can transform worries into a recipe for living. We seek to deliver a culinary experience to families when it matters most through our Bustaurant and food truck program. Our food trucks give back to the numerous organizations that serve the greater good in our communities. Whether we use trucks to raise funds for organizations like the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and/or Make-A-Wish of MN, or use trucks to feed those in need, Chef Lucas Food seeks to strengthen our communities with good food.
