International Education Student Exchange Program Inter-Ed is a non-profit organization that is committed to strengthening the relationships between nations through international student exchanges.

INTER-ED is a California-based organization originally incorporated in Nebraska in 1986 by Tawfic (Tom) Farah. Tom was very interested in promoting cultural exchange and the idea that people from all over the world need to know one another and to learn from each other. After graduating from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a PhD in political science and teaching graduate courses in compa

rative development and international relations at the University of California at Los Angeles, the idea of an organization to promote cultural exchange was born. Tom later left the world of academia and proceeded to work for many years in the international diamond trade.
