A big thank you to Jim Joyner for stopping by the shelter and making a generous donation to support the animals in our care.

Jim has been a friend to the shelter for years and is always willing to lend a hand when needed. Both he and his wife have continuously supported our mission, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do for the animals of Dyer County.

We are also thankful for all of our law enforcement partners who work alongside us every day to help keep both animals and our community safe.

🐶 WE NEED PUPPY FOOD! 🐶

Our shelves are getting low, and right now our biggest need is Pedigree Puppy Food. We also need Pedigree Adult Food, but puppy food is especially urgent.

With the number of puppies currently in our care, we go through food much faster than most people realize. Every bag donated helps us provide full bellies, healthy growth, and the best possible care while these babies wait for their forever homes.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during business hours 12-4pm

If you’ve been looking for an easy way to help, this is it! Even one bag makes a difference. ❤️

🚨 HOME OR RESCUE NEEDED 🚨

This sweet pup showed up at a resident’s home in Crockett County and, unfortunately, they are unable to keep him.

Just look at that face. ❤️ He appears to be a young bully-type mix and has been friendly with the people caring for him. He deserves a safe place to land instead of being left without a home.

We’re hoping to find either:
🐾 His owner
🐾 A foster
🐾 A rescue partner
🐾 Or a forever home

Our program this week was presented by Dyersburg - Dyer County Humane Society Director Hayley Beavers. Hayley gave us an overview of the operations at our local humane society and the issues they face daily. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to come and speak with us!

🐾 We’ve worked hard to make our shelter feel like more than just a shelter. 🐾

When people walk through our doors, we want them to feel welcome.

Over the last year, we’ve put a lot of time, effort, and love into transforming our facility into a place where families can comfortably visit, spend time with our animals, and see firsthand the work being done every day.

🛋️ Relax in our sitting area while visiting with adoptable pets.

❤️ Check out our adoption wall, filled with photos of animals that found their forever homes through our shelter.

🐶 Meet our Pet of the Week and all of the other amazing dogs and cats currently looking for families.

We invite everyone to stop by, take a tour, meet the animals, ask questions, and see what we’re all about. Whether you’re interested in adopting, fostering, volunteering, donating, or simply learning more about what we do, our doors are always open.

Sometimes people only see the challenges. We hope you’ll come see the success stories too.
