Although Noman came to us as a solo kitten, he has adjusted beautifully and loves spending time with the other kittens in his foster home. He's a fluffy ball of sunshine with a playful, affectionate personality that brightens everyone's day.

Freddy's purrs can make the waiting feel especially bittersweet, can't they? Cats don't purr only when they're content—they often purr when they're seeking connection, comfort, or expressing trust. If Freddy is still purring, curling up near people, or leaning into affection despite not having found his forever home yet, that's a pretty strong sign that he hasn't given up on bonding with someone.
The hard part is that cats don't understand adoption timelines the way humans do. Freddy isn't sitting around thinking, "Why hasn't anyone chosen me?" He's living one day at a time: enjoying a meal, a warm spot to nap, a gentle hand, a familiar voice. The waiting is often much harder on the people who care about them than it is on the cats themselves.

Alex has shown incredible strength and determination, and watching her grow and thrive has been such a rewarding journey. Every ounce gained is a victory worth celebrating!
And before anyone asks—no, Alex will not be available for adoption. This special girl has stolen our hearts and will be staying close to us! ❤️🐾

We are extremely grateful that we were able to make it out and make a difference by providing vaccinations and microchips to animals in the area. Every animal we reached is now better protected, and every microchip gives a lost pet a greater chance of finding their way home. Thank you to everyone who helped make this outreach possible.

Collaboration is key. You will notice the many skilled veterinarians, technicians, assistants and volunteers smiling in this photo. With the help of staff and volunteers associated with Ark Of The Dunes Animal Hospital, Dyer Animal Clinic, St. John Animal Clinic and ourselves, we were able to vaccinate and microchip 500+ animals in East Chicago, Indiana for free in a little over 3 hours. We are grateful to Elanco Pet Health & Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc. for the many donated vaccines and products, as well as East Chicago Animal Control for purchasing more supplies to serve their community. Thank you for all the planning, additional staffing and coordination from the East Chicago Health Department. We are always proud to support our Northwest Indiana Community.

The world can be a cruel place, and sometimes the things we witness are heartbreaking.
Meet Solo.
This terrified little boy was seen being thrown from a moving vehicle into traffic. Several cars narrowly missed him before kind-hearted people rushed to help and contacted us immediately. Solo was brought into our care right away.
When he arrived, we estimated him to be only about 5 weeks old. He was completely alone, extremely underweight, and frightened beyond words. Every bone in his tiny body was visible. Despite everything he had been through, Solo was scared—but not aggressive. He simply didn't understand why the world had treated him this way.
The first thing he did was eat and drink. It was clear he had been hungry for a long time.
No animal should ever have to endure this. We don't know what happened before he was thrown from that vehicle, but what was witnessed and the condition he arrived in are heartbreaking and unacceptable. There were countless other options. Abandonment and cruelty should never be one of them.
For now, Solo is safe. He has a warm place to sleep, food in his belly, and people who will show him the kindness he always deserved.
Please keep Solo in your thoughts as he begins his journey of healing.
