Beyond Fences

Beyond Fences provides free services, supplies, information and support to people and pets in underserved areas. Beyond Fences works to fill that gap.

Many under-served neighborhoods lack access to basic pet care resources. By providing free services, supplies, information and support, we honor people’s love for their pets. We proactively reach out to the community to build trusting relationships with families and make connections to keep pets happy and healthy. We believe that a lack of financial means does not equate to a lack of love for a pet, and we seek to spread this principle through a philosophy of understanding and non-judgment.

Fourteen-year-old Roxie, pictured with her owner Demetrius and Beyond Fences' in-home vet Dr. Welch, hasn't been feeling well recently. She has lost her appetite and is losing weight. Dr. Welch ran some bloodwork and provided some medications to hopefully get Roxie feeling better.
Demetrius and Roxy have been our clients for over 10 years. Being there for clients like Demetrius as navigate care for their senior pets is an important part of our work. Thank you for your support that helps us be there throughout the lives of pets like Roxie.

The bonds we share with our pets bring so much love and joy to our lives. We see that connection every day in the community when we visit clients like Anthony and Idee, shown below with their dogs, Jack and Ruby. They have both been Beyond Fences clients for more than a decade. We believe everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, deserves the love and companionship pets provide. Your support helps keep pets healthy and happy while strengthening the bond they share with their people for years to come.

No matter how long our pets are with us, it is never enough time. After 14 years of unconditional love and companionship, Kathy knew it was time to let Snoopy go. When difficult moments like these arise, your support helps us provide end of life support with the dignity and respect people and their pets deserve. A peaceful goodbye is one of the most Important services we offer.

We are in the community daily providing parvo/distemper vaccinations to puppies like Mocha, pictured with her owner. As the temperatures rise, so does the exposure to parvo which can be deadly to unvaccinated dogs. Find out more about our Outreach & Wellness Program at our website.

Beauty Belle was happy to be back in the arms of her loving human, Meatball. Through our Shelter Intervention Program, we have paid fees to reunite hundreds of people and pets like Meatball and Beauty Belle. We believe no owned pet should remain in the shelter due to financial barriers. Your support helps us make these reunions possible and frees shelter space for pets needing homes.

We first connected with Francis, pictured with Peanut and Peaches, over 15 years ago. Francis has taken in pets who need a home, even when her circumstances didn't necessarily make it easy for her. She has suffered the loss of loved ones, fought cancer, and experienced housing insecurity. The unconditional love of her pets has helped her through it all. And, we have been there with support to keep her pets healthy and happy.
