Ready, Set, Baby Classes are FREE prenatal breastfeeding education class designed to help you get ready for your baby, whether you are a first-time parent or adding to your family.

These classes are held at Durham County Library, with help from the Durham County Department of Public Health and Family Matters Durham are a great way to prepare for pregnancy, birth, and life with a newborn. You’ll get helpful information on breastfeeding, postpartum care, and what to expect in those early weeks. Our class is packed with conversations, resources, and a raffle prize at the end!

You’ll have a chance to win amazing prizes like breast pumps, diaper bags filled with baby essentials, car seats, breastfeeding pillows, and more!

Applications are now open for Carnival Cruise Line’s second annual paid summer internship program for high school students!

This eight-week paid summer program is designed for high school students aged 17+ who will work directly with the guest port services team to learn the inner workings of cruise terminal operations. They will get a behind-the-scenes look at how Carnival’s cruise operations run at the port while building real-world skills and exploring careers in travel and hospitality.

The program runs from June through August. Spots are limited, and applications are open now through June 8, 2026.
