National Custodian Day was October 2nd…but when you’re a year-round middle school on break for Intersession, you celebrate on the first day of Q2 instead 😆.

Rogers-Herr has 6 custodians who keep our school sparkling! They take care of the day-to-day, clean up after sporting events, and even take care of the plants! Plus, they are some of the sweetest, kindest employees at RHMS! 💙

So today, the RHMS PTA treated our custodians to new cute tumblers filled with cozy Fall candles and sweet and savory treats!

Explore the Arts and Express Yourself!

The RHMS PTA is launching an Arts Competition called "Reflections" and the theme this year is "What My Culture Means to Me." Entries are due by 23OCT2026.

Students can participate in any category and even choose multiple categories! This competition is all-inclusive and open to ALL STUDENTS via an optional pathway for Accessible Arts.

This is a tiered competition. Winners from RHMS will move on to compete against other DPS middle school students, then the NC state competition, and then the National PTA competition!

More info can be found in each Grade-Level Newsletter. Or contact the RHMS PTA at [email protected].

The 6 categories are:
Dance choreography
Film production
Music composition
Literature
Photography
Visual Arts

For the 2025/2026 school year, 16 National PTA winners were from North Carolina...but none were from Rogers-Herr...let's change that!! RHMS has never actually participated in Reflections so let's give it a try!

Rams ROCK! Let's Rock the Arts, too!
