The inaugural Bull City Band Expo will bring together marching bands from Jordan, Northern, Hillside, Riverside, and Southern high schools for an unforgettable afternoon of music, community, and Durham pride! Our local middle school bands will also join the celebration for the National Anthem and pep tunes!

This event is more than a showcase—it’s an opportunity to celebrate our talented student musicians and support our band programs as they pursue another exciting marching season.

In case you didn’t see them, we had a couple 6th grade teachers and, of course, 6th grade Administrator Coach Adams at the concert to support our musicians!

The Music Program at Rogers-Herr is truly top-notch! The students brought new meaning to “Rams ROCK”!! 💙💙💙

And finally, thank you to everyone who purchased Bundt cakes tonight! We almost sold out so thank you for your support! And I hope to see some of you at our General Body Meeting Thursday and/or at City BBQ on Monday!

Our last concert of the year! 7th & 8th grade chorus, 7th & 8th grade orchestra

So many great performances and solos by both ensembles! But the song that stood out to me, particularly as 8th graders move on to high school, is “You Gotta Be” by the chorus. This song is about self-confidence and inner strength and seems fitting as these musicians prepare to leave Rogers-Herr. 💙

Once again, a great night of music by Mr. Stine and his students. And it’s clear why both ensembles earned a Superior rating at the Carowinds Festival of Music!
