NCCU Alumna Destiny Alexander and her nonprofit, P**F (Planning Our Own Future), are doing incredible work by helping teens build brighter futures through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, service, education, and global exposure.

This summer, a group of deserving teens will travel to Ghana for a life-changing experience that will expand their horizons, deepen their understanding of the world, and show them what is possible beyond their immediate surroundings.

The best part? They have already raised over $90,000.

The challenge? They are just $1,600 short of their $92,000 goal.

The NCCU Alumni Association Durham Chapter mourns the loss of our fellow Eagle, Alumnus Darry Antonio Pittman, Class of 1988.

Darry joined our chapter in December 2024 and quickly made his presence felt through his support, service, and dedication. He was instrumental in helping make our 2025 Scholarship Gala a success, and his kindness and willingness to serve will not be forgotten.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to his family, friends, classmates, and especially his twin brother, Donnie Pittman.

May Darry forever soar on eagle’s wings.
