For the past 7 years, serving as your Sheriff has been more than a job it has been a calling. Every handshake, every conversation, every life touched has shaped the way I lead and strengthened my resolve to serve with courage, compassion, and accountability.

Durham, I believe in this community. I believe in our resilience. I believe in our future. But our work is not finished. There is still more to do to ensure every neighborhood is safe, every family feels protected, and every voice is heard.

That’s why I’m running again not for a title, but for a mission. A mission to continue serving and protecting with integrity and dedication.

For the remainder of Early Voting and on Election Day, I’m asking for your vote and your trust. Let’s move forward together. Let’s keep building. Let’s keep protecting.

It’s always a privilege to connect with my constituents face-to-face because real change starts with real conversations!

This morning, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a meet and greet with Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, alongside our special guest to North Carolina, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland. Being in spaces with leaders who are committed to service, progress, and community reminds me why this work matters so much.

The energy was inspiring, the dialogue was powerful, and the mission is clear we keep showing up, we keep building, and we keep pushing forward together!

I was truly honored to stand alongside Roy Cooper and special guest Wes Moore at the Black Leaders Fellowship yesterday.

Hearing Governor Cooper and Governor Moore speak about the power of North Carolina politics and why what happens here shapes the future of our entire country was nothing short of inspiring.

As Governor Moore said, “I like to speak things into existence.” So let me speak this into existence: soon we won’t be calling him Governor Roy Cooper… we’ll be calling him Senator Roy Cooper.

The work we do in this state matters. The voices we elevate matter. The leadership we choose matters.

Let’s stay engaged, stay organized, and keep building a future that reflects the very best of who we are. 💪🏾
