With the family's permission, we wanted to share the following information for Lt. James "XY" Brown's funeral services as the family welcomes those who wish to gather in honoring him.

There will be a public viewing from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Sandy Run Missionary Baptist Church located at 1503 Hargett St., Jacksonville, NC 28540.

A celebration of Lt. Brown’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, August 24, 2026, at River of Life Church located at 2460 Gum Branch Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28546.

Interment will follow at Coastal Carolina Veteran’s Cemetery located at 109 Montford Landing Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28540.

Please expect traffic delays during this time. Any information regarding impacts to local traffic will be posted as the ceremony date draws nearer.
