Big news: the weather’s water has broken. 💦

Saturday is going into full meteorological labor — 54°F, 85% chance of rain. The forecast is, frankly, in no condition to host a festival.

As we all know, our labor doesn’t always go according to plan, so we’re going to stay flexible. The festival will now be delivered on Sunday, May 3 instead:
a healthy 67°F, zero rain, vibes weighing in at a perfect ten.

Same venue, same plans, just one extra day in the oven.

See you Sunday, May 3 — it’s a festival!

We were truly honored to be present for such a meaningful and important moment as the proclamation recognizing Black Maternal Health Week was signed alongside Governor Josh Stein, Senator Natalie Murdock, the Legislative Black Caucus, and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

Today’s conversation on maternal and infant health disparities in North Carolina was both powerful and deeply moving. Hearing that Black women are nearly twice as likely as White women to die from pregnancy complications is heartbreaking, and it serves as a painful reminder of the work that still lies ahead.

We are grateful to stand with leaders, advocates, and community members who are committed to improving access to care, strengthening postpartum support, and creating healthier outcomes for Black mothers and babies across our state. Moments like this remind us that awareness must lead to action, and action must lead to change. 🖤
