When Diane Sufler was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2018, her son Sam turned his grief into action.

Sam decided to do everything he could to advance new treatments for glioblastoma. From the "Margarita Mile" to The LA Marathon, Sam has been involved with the Glioblastoma Foundation's mission to fund targeted treatments for glioblastoma.

Now in his 8th year of volunteering with the Glioblastoma Foundation, Sam ran the LA Marathon in 2026 to help raise awareness and support genomic testing for every glioblastoma patient.

Last week, Team Glioblastoma Foundation took on the LA Marathon, the LA Charity Half Marathon, and the LA 5K with determination, heart, and purpose.
