Our hearts are full after an inspiring morning with the LIFE Skills community at our 11th Annual Breakfast at the Museum of Life and Science.

We’re deeply grateful to the sponsors, supporters, partners, and community members who gathered alongside us in support of youth transitioning out of foster care. Throughout the morning, we reflected on both the beauty and hardships that shape young people’s journeys — and the powerful role community plays in helping youth build stable, independent futures.

We were delighted to host our inaugural State of the Union–style luncheon today. Thank you to all who joined us for this meaningful conversation.

Special thanks to our panelists, to Brooks Rainey for moderating, and to Representative Zack Hawkins and Self-Help for co-hosting. Together, we brought leaders from across Durham into conversation about housing stability, economic mobility, and what it takes for young adults transitioning out of foster care to build independent futures.
