This is our next benefit show with band that had such hits as "So Into You", "Spooky", "I'm Not Gonna Think about it Tonight", to "Champagne Jam",

BigTime is honored to share the stage with the Atlanta Rhythm Section for two shows at the Pittsboro Roadhouse on Sunday, October 6th at 4pm and 7:30pm. However, we are equally honored to be a part of this special event that is a fundraiser for a worthwhile charity. The Britt Balser Foundation for TTP is a Nationally recognized 501(c)(3) charity named after Britt Balser who lost her life at 12 years old following a 4-week fight with the disease TTP (Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura). TTP is a rare blood disorder in which blood clots form in small blood vessels throughout the body. The clots can limit or block the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the body's organs such as the brain, kidneys, and heart. The Britt Balser Foundation for TTP is a public charity dedicated to raising funds to work with doctors and medical centers around the United States who are actively using their medical knowledge, and their resources to find a better cure for this TTP. So, as you purchase your tickets to see ARS at the Pittsboro Roadhouse, know that your hard earned money is going towards a very important cause. We are thrilled to am thrilled to share on behalf of Sanofi that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Cablivi® (cablacizumab-yhdp) in combination with plasma exchange and immunosuppression for the treatment of acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP) in adults. More information can also be found via the Sanofi press release.

Brief Overview

Cablivi is the first medicine approved in the U.S. specifically for the treatment of adults with aTTP in combination with plasma exchange and immunosuppression. Cablivi targets von Willebrand factor (vWF), a protein in the blood involved in hemostasis. It is designed to inhibit the interaction between vWF and platelets. Cablivi is an anti-vWF Nanobody and Sanofi’s first Nanobody®-based medicine to receive approval in the U.S. Nanobodies® are a novel class of proprietary therapeutic proteins based on single-domain antibody fragments that contain the unique structural and functional properties of naturally-occurring heavy chain only antibodies.
