For nearly 30 years, Bull City Fair Trade (formerly One World Market) customers have helped to provide a sustainable source of income at living wages for thousands of fair trade artisans across the globe. Primarily volunteer-staffed, we are one-of-a-kind nonprofit with handmade products from dozens of countries.

Truthfully, there’s a lot to be scared of when talking about exploitative global trade.

We're wishing a happy 40th birthday to one of our food partners, Equal Exchange! We have them to thank for much of the chocolate, coffee, tea, mangoes, nuts, and dates we sell at the store.
Organized as a worker co-op, each worker-owner gets 1 vote, has access to financial records, and invests an equal share in the business.
When Equal Exchange started in 1986, all the co-op had was a shipment of embargoed coffee and a vision to create a more democratic food system. Since then, they've built long-term partnerships with farmer cooperatives in over 13 different countries. Thanks for showing farmers, traders, and consumers that we're better together!
