Bull City Fair Trade Bull City Fair Trade on 9th Street is Durham's only nonprofit store devoted exclusively to fair trade

For nearly 30 years, Bull City Fair Trade (formerly One World Market) customers have helped to provide a sustainable source of income at living wages for thousands of fair trade artisans across the globe. Primarily volunteer-staffed, we are one-of-a-kind nonprofit with handmade products from dozens of countries.

It’s Fair Trade Month and we’re showcasing gifts from Palestine! Palestine is in West Asia and is comprised of Israeli-occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. Our gifts create sustainable jobs for Palestinian artisans and farmers facing political unrest and settler violence. 🇵🇸
Palestine is just one of 45+ countries and territories that we proudly represent in our fair trade, nonprofit store.

We’re celebrating the first day of early voting in style: with our fair trade Vote Totes from The Little Market and donuts from local fave Monuts! Democracy is an important value in the fair trade movement, and we encourage you to make your voice heard in the midterm election. Election Day is November 3, but you can vote early from October 15-31, and can register if needed during the early voting period. Visit bit.ly/bcftvotes for a list of Durham’s early voting sites and wait times, or check out the QR code on our front door, thanks to Integrity Matters! 🗳️

Look what landed in-store just in time for Dolly Day tomorrow, 9/25 (get it… “9 to 5”)? 🎶
In honor of the late, great Dolly Parton, who did so much to promote children’s literacy, take 25% OFF your entire in-store purchase on Friday, September 25th with the purchase of two kids’ books. Discount applies to everything, including these delightful Dolly ornaments from Silk Road Bazaar.
Whether you choose to share the books with kids in your life, or donate to Book Harvest or a Little Free Library near you, we hope you’ll help us honor Dolly Parton’s spirit by getting more culturally-relevant books into the hands of kids in our community! 📚
