Girls Rock NC Girls Rock NC: working to empower girls, women, trans folks, and non-binary folks since 2003! She needs to know what to do with the messages she hears.

Girls Rock NC uses music and performance as the mediums for self expression and esteem building. We accomplish this with programming that focuses on the “three Cs”: creativity, confidence and collaboration. It’s not enough to hand a young girl an I-pod loaded with feminist music. How does she engage her community with her new ideas and sense of self worth? How does she gain the confidence to make her voice heard? We believe that loud, unapologetic music is a great place to begin.
