Tuesday, May 19th at 6:30 PM Susan Michael will be leading a workshop called "The Mosquito Bucket Challenge" in association with Homegrown National Park and Coginchaug Outdoor Enrichment Center. Participants will learn about mosquito life cycles and how to reduce mosquito populations in your yard without using harmful spay insecticides which impact our native pollinators and insects. If you are interested in attending, there are spaces left. Join COEC (Coginchaug Outdoor Enrichment Center) on May 19th at 6:30 to take part in Homegrown National Park's Mosquito Bucket Challenge. Learn about this safe and effective way to reduce the mosquitos in your yard and make your very own mosquito bucket to take home!

Mosquito fogging doesn't just kill mosquitoes. Its toxic chemicals can kill or harm pollinators, birds, frogs, fireflies, and more. At this free workshop you will learn about the mosquito life cycle and how you can kill their larvae with a natural soil bacterium. You will set up and decorate your own "Mosquito Bucket" so that it is ready to bring home and put to use. This program is presented by the Coginchaug Outdoor Enrichment Center (COEC) and Homegrown National Park.
This event is free, but registration on Durham RecDesk is required.
