☀️ Sunrise Durham is excited to endorse the following candidates for state and local office AND other measures on the ballot:
Allison Riggs for NC Supreme Court
Martin Moore for NC Court of Appeals
Wendy Jacobs for Durham County Commissioner
Michelle Burton for Durham County Commissioner

Both Durham bond referendums:
🛝 Parks and Recreation bond
🚸 Streets and Sidewalks bond

🚫 We are also asking everyone to vote NO on the state constitutional amendment. This amendment would change the wording of who is allowed to vote in NC from “Every person born in the United States and every person who has been naturalized” to “Only a citizen of the United States” (over age 18).
While this change may seem harmless—born in the US or naturalized is the current definition of citizen—it would give the NC legislature massive power to take away your right to vote because the NC legislature can legally change the definition of citizen at any time. Protect your right to vote! Vote NO on the amendment!
